Rates

A one-week stay at Oceanview for two people is $1,500. There is a “special occasion rate” of $1,200 per week for honeymoons or returning guests celebrating their anniversaries. One week for up to six people is $1,900.  There is a  discount for stays in excess of two weeks.  Special consideration is given if you’re planning a family vacation with young children; send an email with the ages, genders, and an outline of your expectations of the island and house.  Please understand that requests are thoroughly screened; many more are declined than accepted.

Oceanview and Guana are unique

Oceanview on Guana Cay is not a stereotypical “Spring Break” destination. If you are looking for “Scandals at Montiego Bay,” this is not the place. Our location on Guana provides splendid ocean views with “just enough” accessibility. It’s an easy walk to the village or to Nippers – most importantly, you don’t have the noise or intrusion associated with inland or village locations. And, the ocean breeze provides for wonderful relief from the heat. That’s a very real consideration (aside from the view) for an oceanfront vs. inland or village rental.

The maximum number of guests is six. More than six people in a group can cause unacceptable stress on the house. However, if some are small children, send an email request for review.  Family groups with more than six are often accepted. A 50% deposit is required to confirm a stay.  There are no “pencil in” reservations.  Do not assume you have booked a confirmation for a time period until you have specifically received an email affirming that has happened.  The balance is due a minimum of 30 days prior to your visit. To check about whether there is availability for your preferred dates, please send an email request.  The availability calendar is not active or used.  Preferred weekly rental periods are Saturday arrival (after 3:00PM) and Saturday departure.  However, request alternative schedules if they fit your needs or the airline restrictions.

Reservation and Deposit Information

To secure a reservation, after receiving confirmation of date availability from us via telephone or internet e-mail, make your inquiries with the airlines.  Do not book your tickets until double checking availability a second time.  Advise in the email of your intention and that you are booking airfare.  We will hold the time period reserved pending our receipt of your deposit for a period of five (5) calendar days. Beyond five days, the period is no longer reserved.  Should we not receive your deposit within that period, your reservation will no longer be guaranteed and the timeframe will become available to others. To confirm a reservation, a deposit of half of the total rental fee is required in advance. The balance is due a minimum of thirty days prior to your visit to the beach house. Payment must be in U.S. funds by certified bank check.

Please confirm date availability, do this before you make final purchase commitments on plane tickets. What may have been available on a Monday could be entirely different by Tuesday.
